Bhutan Festival Tour Sample Itinerary

Wangdi and Thimphu Festivals Tour

This tour encompasses two of our most famous festivals and gives you the opportunity to see some of Bhutan’s most beautiful valleys and mountains. We will travel over a beautiful pass that is decorated with many, many prayer flags and 108 Chorten as we make our way to our first festival. The Wangdi Festival is located in the warm river valley where, even though the valley is in the Himalayas, the hillsides are covered with prickly pear cactus! The Thimphu festival takes place at the capital dzong, Tachichodzong, which is certainly the largest and most elaborately decorated in all Bhutan.
